really? 4th and last? why? that show is wonderful! it's true that this season isn't that good as the previous ones -i kinda blame the fact that this wife seems not to be as entertaining as the others-, but they could see how season 4 developes and then decide, right?

I think they shouldnt end it with Henry. I mean the series is called the Tudors they shouldnt end it without talking about the war between Elizabeth and Mary Tudor for the crown after Henry dies. Sadly Mary Lost and was imprisoned by her sister in the tower, *sigh*, I do like Mary; too bad :(
Yeah I did pay attention in history class :P
I dont remember if Mary was killed or just imprisoned does anyone know?
Oh but I do think that it should end with Elizabeth being crowned after she beats Mary's bid since she is the last official Tudor.

Actually Mary imprisoned Elizabeth until she denounces the reformation a vows she is a catholic. After Mary dies Elizabeth is made queen and continues the reformation her mother Ann helped start.

I'm going to agreed with jennalxudll, but expand upon it further. Thetravellerjohn21, you don't know your English history. Henry VIII dies and his sickly son Edward is placed on the throne and becomes Edward VI. However, Edward is too young to rule and has a regency appointed to rule for him. Chief among his regency John Dudley 1st earl of Warwick and was then appointed the Duke of Northumberland. Northumberland noticing that the boy king was going to die wed his second son to the Lady Jane Grey who was in the line of succession. Henry VIII decreed that the succession would flow from Edward to his heirs, if there were no heirs then to Mary and her heirs, if there were no heirs, then to Elizabeth and her heirs, and if there were no heirs to Henry's cousin Lady Frances Brandon and her heirs. Northumberland convinced Lady Brandon to remove herself for the line in favour of her daughter the Lady Jane Grey. After the death of Edward VI, Lady Jane Grey was crowned queen for nine days before Mary's armies rallied. Mary threw Jane into the tower and later executed her. Mary Tudor then married Phillip of Spain and ruled as queen for five years before dying leaving the throne to Elizabeth. Elizabeth was imprisoned in the Tower for her protestant views, but she was later moved from house to house so that rebel protestant forces could not use her(or she them) to usurp Mary from the throne.
The Mary you are thinking of was Mary, Queen of Scots. Who was beheaded by Elizabeth's order. Later her son James became James I of England. This started the Stuart dynasty as Elizabeth did not produce Tudor heirs.
