Is 90210 getting good? Is Privileged not that great?

The answer to both the questions is: Yes. Well, kind of.

When 90210 started I wasn't too happy. But I still watched it, mainly because it's a teen drama. Unless it's The Secret Life Of An American Teenager or something that bad, I'll keep watching any teen drama they throw my way. Anyway, my point is I didn't give up on 90210. Sure, it has it's not-so-good moments and has a teen cliche thrown around once in a while, but it's fun to watch the show, specially in the past few weeks.

Now, I'm not saying it should get an Emmy for the Best Drama series but it's not as bad as people say, at least not anymore. The other new teen drama, Privileged, is good, but now...........continue reading

Interesting perspective...but I actually find Privileged to be pretty endearing (and especially Marco, who I personally find hilarious). It bugs me sometimes that Megan is naive to a fault (this whole Laurel biography thing we all know is somehow going to burst up in flames) - and also sometimes acts cute to a fault - but I think this show is more Gilmore Girls than Gossip Girl (or 90210)...and I think the network could still use a show or two that has a little more innocence than 90210 (though admittedly, I hated it at first and now too embrace the trashy fun). In summary, I'd say I like them equally these days, but I don't think Privileged gets enough credit...(nor does that actor who plays Will - I still don't know his name - who is hotter than any guy on 90210...but has earned zero CW heartthrob status as of yet)

I like 90210 a whole lot more than I expected to - yeah, it's over-the-top teen drama, but I think the approach is a little bit (in a lighter way) like The O.C. which was to get you involved with these rich Hollywood characters and all their problems which are sometimes cliche, sometimes unique, but always addictive to watch play out! I think right now it's just getting better, so I hope it continues in that direction.
I haven't gotten to keep up with Privileged, but I really liked the first few episodes, but clearly from my following, have chosen 90210 as the one I'm hooked on. I do plan on catching up with Privileged though so I'll see how I feel post-catch-up! :)

i watch both 90210 and privileged and i think that theyre both great but i feel like privileged has more soul to the show, the characters have more depth to them, and i absolutly love the character of megan smith!90210 is interesting but its very on the surface, and the characters arnt built up that well..im sure all the season progresses itll be much better.but ill be rooting for both! =)

Definitely Privileged. Never watched 90210 because it seems very trashy and well I think that Privileged may have its faults like Megan's innocence at times but its a good storyline.
