1x06, another pointless episode?

I thought the pilot and 1x02 were ok, and then I got that itchy feeling that the story was going no-where. Also I'm wondering whether Flash Forward is just copying too much of what made other series quite successful (such as the flashes used to death in Lost, except that in FF, they are flashes but in the future, so flash forward... errr... clever, really?). Anyway, so not original in that sense, how about piecing the bits of the puzzles just so they can eventually save the cheerleader? :) I don't think that this is going too well. The trip to germany and the clues about crows episode was a bit of a let down. Halloween 1x06 was another. Actually in 1x06, you have to waste 41 minutes of pure nothingness before finding a nice litte clue during the last 5 seconds. How cr*p is this?

yeah they really need to move along the story - it could very easily be good

What is ruining it for me is that there is NO suspense! So... at the end of episode 5, agent Hawk gets shot and she's in critical condition. Well, guess what! She gets saved!(not that we had any big spoiler-indication of THAT happening...). And yes, in the saving process she was rendered almost completely infertile. Did you catch that? ALMOST...And what about Olivia's lame and predictable "I don't trust you any more"? There goes that boat...I don't know why i'm still watching, yet there is a part of me, the more childlike and innocent one, that hopes the show will catch up with the brilliance behind the "flashforwards" idea (maybe it will get closer to the "butterfly effect" *fingers crossed*) and establish the much covetable DOUBT behind the visions, aka prove beyond a doubt that some of the "futures" will not be coming true...

I don't know if "some of the futures will not be coming true" is the aim to the show. Instead, they seem to be taking us on a ride of self-fulfilling prophecy, where the people saw it happen, and in turn they are following the paths that make it happen.
The only exception to this is the AA sponsor who verified his daughter's DNA with the exhumed corpse. How will they get out of that one, having him see her in the future?
I'm enjoying the show a lot, actually. I didn't start watching it for the two hour rushed movie of the week. The character development has been interesting, and I'm liking "Charlie" as a bad guy.

I think the show is great, the only problem is they've got a whole season to solve one mistery, usualy the big mistery is the undercurent of the show, it keeps the episodes connected and the storyline flowing, here they only have one case and they cant really move it along becouse then they would have nothing to show.

I like the fact that not every episode is a big bang, i think that them (slowing it down) as some call it is what makes me come back every week. If the gave us the big answer that some of the futures would not come true this early in the season, then what would they have for us to worry over. right now we are all trying to reconcile what has happened with what people saw. As for how to get around the AA sponsors daughters DNA i can think of one way, in his flashforward she was laying down so what if all of the remands that came back were her legs? Then the DNA would be hers but if the remands were badly burnt they usually find the DNA from the leg bones as these are the largest and strongest and usually survive the best.
