Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles - Cancellation

Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles (TSCC) met it's official demise on May 18th, 2009.

Now TSCC, was one of my favorite television series, if not in my top five and I am very strict about that Top Five' list such that only few make the cut.

Lena Headey, Summer Glau, Thomas Dekker... to name a few presented a brilliant cast which grew on me throughout each season.

Season two ended with John facing his father Kyle Reese and what seemed to be Cameron in human form. The rest was left for speculation.

I was deeply saddened when I heard the announcement of the final cut, that I still even now hold out hope for this series.

What went wrong? Why was TSCC pulled?

Many of us have asked these questions and continue to do so...

firefly effect..... again.....(oh harsh summer glau irony) but seriously, like firefly it was bumped repeatedly for sports, and then shoved into a crapy corner pocket of 0 break Friday time slot, no wonder no one watched it (how can you mess with the space time continuum and have episodes weeks apart!?) are they at least going to sum it up in a series of online shorts? like, a movie would be great (oh, hey, IDEA!) or even a TV movie sponsored by space, but i guess we'll have to wait and see but seriously, with Salvation coming out so recently, you would think the viewership would increase dramatically, yes the storys are slightly different, but you would still be seeing how john conor became who he was (not the pansy one in T3, the christian Bale, eat your soul one). also, show= better than first 3 movies.and freetv22, your wrong, summer glau can make anyone do anything, or she will kill them with her brain.

It's not that they don't consider online views, it's that online views generate only a fraction of the revenue that broadcast viewers do. So with ratings dropping, and the costs of making the show rising, they really had no choice but to kill it. Hell, they gave it 2 full seasons based on quality, they can't make people watch it.

Was never a fan of the Terminator movies, but I was completely hooked when I watched the 1st ep of TTSCC. Didn't quite believe my eyes when I saw the word CANCELLED on this page. I absolutely agree with Sc1F!, the FOX execs never really understood of the concept internet n video streaming. Some people who dun live in the US are not that blessed to have those fancy machines which record shows n can watch them whenever they want at a fraction of cost. As a stay at home mom, I have never been able to watch shows whenever they are aired, I am so grateful of these video streaming sites, so I can watch what I want whenever it is convenient. This show should be brought back, the finale was such a cliffhanger, was never a closure for all us fans...I'll keep my fingers cross and praying for a miracle.

Thats a great Back Ground for my desktop, thanks. Went to see Terminator Salvation opening night. Disappointment is what I was left with. TSCC is so much better than that movie. I will survive, It's better to love and lost they say.

FOX execs don't know good programming when they got it. They keep crap shows like Hell's Kitchen, but drop TTSCC. TWO DAYS before the movie release. They have they're heads up their rears, like when they cancelled Family Guy, then OOOPS! We made a mistake. I wish Sci-FI would pick it up. C'mon FOX wants to air Sit Down, Shut-up. Bunch of coked out monkeys running the network.

They messed around with the schedule too. It would be nice just to have one episode to give it a proper ending. Hell I would even except one of the writers posting something scrawled in crayon on a napkin...I need closure!

It's simple, the people who call the shot have never heard of the internet and video streaming technology. At this day and age, who watches TV anymore? Why? When you can stream your favourite episodes directly from broadcasting channels' website or Hulu.comI'm pretty sure if they took the time to check the online viewers ratings, there should be more than an adequate mount to reveal the show's popularity.
