The election is a bit more important than Heroes. While I like the show, I do think that the election coverage is more important. Heroes will be back, but elections only happen every four years. Not to mention the fact that this one is going to be very historic, no matter who wins.

I'm ambivalent. While I agree that not airing a show isn't going to make the people who'd have watched it suddenly become politically conscious and switch over to their favorite news program, I think it is a good favor for the people who do care about politics. In other words, some people don't care who wins or that there's an election, but the people who do care are responsible and will be doing their citizen's duty, etc. So it wouldn't be fair for them to miss out on Heroes.
Frankly, given a choice between watching coverage and watching Heroes...Yes, I'm irresponsible. :D

I'm from the U.K so I'm an episode behind you and, i don't fink its rite to cancel a show for coverage. we don't do the over here not many people are really bothered so it is put on a boring chanel for the little amount of people who what to watch it. seen as the U.S and the brits ain't that different I'm sure you probably fell the same way towards politics.
so the point of that blavering was i don't think they should of canceled heroes. xD

For epi.
Just going to speak on behalf of all us Brits are you? You base your wide sweeping comment based on what? Seriously mate some of us care about how the country's run. Are you old enough to vote?
The U.S. and Brit's ain't that different??!?! As in we both have two arms, two legs, a face and can both speak English or variants of etc. You're tripping! Our origins may be the same but our cultures and history are completely different.
The election whether US or back home in the UK is a major part of our civilisation. It's the reason why you have freedom and are allowed to abuse that freedom to extent that's socially and morally acceptable.
Try living in China, post a comment about your opinion on voting and democracy and then watch the clock to see how long it takes for someone to come knocking at your door.
Not thinking it's "rite" to cancel a show for coverage of something that will determine the future of their country for the next 4 years. Time you placed more importance on yourself and what happens around you than what happens in the magic tellybox.
And yeah, I don't think they should cancel Heroes just yet either.

For PeteFringe
I'm not saying that they shouldn't of shown the coverage just that they should of rescheduled heroes.
I am old enough to vote but I'm not that interested in politics.
I'm not trying to speak for all brits just putting my point of view across it may of sounded like i was but that was just the way i put it.
When i said we weren't that different i was on about the way as a civilization we look at things.
