The Uncertain Fate Of Defying Gravity

So the outlook for Defying Gravity does not look so good. With less and less viewers each week this ABC show could be pulled very quickly.

With 3.83 million viewers watching the Pilot, numbers continue to decrease with last weeks episode, "H2IK", receiving a mere 2.59 million viewers.

This site talks about the current situation of the show:

As an enthusiast of the show I hope more people decide to start watching. I personally don't want this show to suffer the same fate as some many other great shows of the past have: Moonlight, Firefly, (and even though it had a second season) Jericho. All beloved shows that got the hook way to quickly.

This show may seem corny to some but I think the cast work really well together and I'm excited to see where they take it.

So if you are, as I am, a supporter of this show, make sure you watch it so this show stays alive.

I think you're completely right!I mean who doesn't love a show that's like Grey's Anatomy only in space...with really hot astronauts! I also agree that the whole cast work wonders together, they've all got really good chemistry together.
I love the flashbacks in the show, and I think its one that in many ways is very creative.
Keep the show alive!! Watch it people!!

Also I forgot to mention that I really loved moonlight and, like you said, dont want the show to end up the same way.But you forgot shows like Harper's Island, Privileged, Eli Stone, and Young Dracula. these were all really good shows that also got canceled to quickly, lets hope Defying gravity will not join this group

By the time shows get to us (UK) they've normally already been cancelled - so we have the unenviable 'task' of watching a new show, maybe getting to like it, engaging with the characters, but knowing it's already dead and gone, having had no chance of contributing viewing figures to save it....

One of the best shows iv seen in a long time. Its got a great story so far, its not condescending and the characters are liable and believable. If this gets killed before its given chance to show what it can really do, then not only would it be a mistake but they may as well stop making shows.I'm sick and tired of finding an absolute gem just to see it passed up for some stupid reality show or the like.Well fingers crossed from the UK.

I loved Virtuality, but I'll settle for Defying Gravity. I do enjoy the combination of soap opera and sci-fi, but "beta" is a little unbelievable. I'll probably keep watching, though.

I watched a couple of episodes, and I understand why the show won't make it. The show is 98% inane conversation, soap opera, and not-so-subtle social commentary with 2% scifi plot development. They should have dangled a bit more interesting plot in the first episodes to get us through all the flashbacks and montages that cheesify the show. This show is boring because nothing interesting happens because the characters are shallow. The only characters that are interesting at all are the hot blond and the Indian guy stuck on earth.
