the PI dude said it's a fake to test caddy. House wasn't a cheerleader. And they aren't gonna make him a goodie-goodie cause he being a jerk is the whole point of the series.

Porcelain, you must have missed the last part of the show because House admits it was not a fake to Lucas! Lucas had been under that impression that it had been photoshoped but when he called the college he found out that assumption had been wrong, that indeed House had been a cheerleader.
And I'm sure if the team finds out they will more than likely realize that this being House, that he had ulterior motives for joining the cheer squad, which I'm sure he did.

First, his team, is not really a team. They are a group of fellows, and while the show is written around the idea that House is their boss, he is also their teacher. Not only is he capable of firing them in the sense of a boss, but it would sort of the be the same as failing them.
I am really sick of House putting up with as much crap as he does from his fellows, I know if I acted towards a professor the way they do to them I would end up failed out.
As for the picture, house has already given a reason why. I think it was pretty obvious why myself. You should go back and watch in Season 4, Ugly, where House talks about his "problem". I don't think most people have caught on to his little weakness for the opposite sex.
As to the excuses part, why does someone need excuses for being good. You know what House should do, instead of being at Princeton-Plains he should head out Black Jack style. The only problem with House is that he let's himself be governed by people that are not as good as him. Don't get me wrong, I love Wilson, when he isn't whining, and I like Cuddy.
If the writers wanted to go a new direction with the show I say go a realistic direction. People like House in real life work at very nice Pharmaceutical companies and make exorbitant salaries, and answer to very few people. House could be bringing in 7 figures easily, and it has already been hinted at. When foreman's "girlfriend" was just using him to get to house. Not to mention the other times it is mentioned how pharmaceutical companies give out free stuff ad generally kiss butt to House.
So, kick the stuff about working in a free hospital with equipment that hospital would never afford anyway. Have him work at a Pharm company where they have billions to throw around. And no, that whole stunt in season one about Ed was not only completely unbelievable but also unrealistic.

The fact is that completely realistic TV doesn't sell. Just as real science doesn't sell. No one wants to hear all the little details, and they normally greatly exaggerate, oversimplify, or muddle many details in TV or movies because otherwise, people become confused. Lets face it, many people you ask on the street can't give you even a remotely reasonable definition for the term "atom". And an even larger percentage cannot properly define "gene". For me, it's really the characters that make this show great, not the science or the sub-realistic conditions of their working environment. House is far from realistic, as are CSI and other scientifically based shows. In my opinion, it's the human interaction and suspense components that make the shows; the rest just makes it more interesting.
