Quinten Tarantino has done it again! Inglourious Basterds certainly blew Valkyrie out of the water (as far as Nazi movies go) within the first ten minutes. The concept is absolutely amazing. Scenery was finely chosen, and of course the actors did a fantastic job!
Brad Pitt got into character and really impressed me with his accents. I also like that the survivor from the beginning of the movie plays a drasticly important role throughout.
Another thing that got me going, was the music. It was very dramatic and fit well within it's scene. I also like that the survivor from the beginning of the movie plays a drasticly important role throughout. There were many parts where I jumped, or blurted out things in shock, not suitable for certain eyes to read.
I did enjoy the large role that one of the main Nazi's held, he was probably the most memorable character. They also threw in some punchlines in there, which definitely suited this "time period".
I surpisingly followed along to the all French scenes, along with English subtitles for the non-french understanding viewers such as myself.
It is definitely an action packed film, with lots of blood spurting about the screen. I scarily enjoyed Lt. Raine's (Brad Pitt) method of leaving the Germans with something to remember.
I totally made a few Harry Potter references, as well as seeing a few actors/actresses from other great films.
All in all, this movie was absolutely amazing. Cinematically, and just all around a good movie to watch. It never got boring, I stayed with it the whole time, and it was just a great view on the war, seeing that we frequently view it from the Nazi side. I myself am a huge fan of the educational stories of the Nazis and Hitler, so I fell in love with this movie quickly.
I highly recommend it to everyone, dispite its age rating, it's mainly for violence, it has a little bit of dirty language, and a 5 second innapropriate scene. Highly graphic though, not for the easily queasy :)
