is it just me or is this getting a little repetitive

I'm at about the end of the first season and every episode is identical!

House gets a patient with some rare disease and then he just solves it

It was fine for the first few episodes but now it's just plain repetitive

What should I be expecting from this show?

That will always happen in every episode. What kept me hooked was actually the character of House and his life: his interactions with his team, his friendship with Wilson, and his struggle with being alone.

Dunno... but i think he once said that he (house) took care only of the rare cases which no other doctor could solve... can't remember in which episode(s) he told it almost word for word... so if i was u i would expect some more rare cases in the near future of the show... hope it helps ya figure!

This show is pretty formulaic, but I found I felt it was less so after actually watching a bunch in a row because I got more into the storylines of the characters both the main cast and the stories of the patients enough that the formula of the show has become besides the point to me. I think Season 1 was excellent, but I really think this is one of those shows that just keeps getting better, so I would definitely recommend to continue watching and see what you think.

If you're a die-hard House fan, I don't think you watch the for the medical cases at all. For me, the cases just move the characters along and its a way for different personalities to come to the forefront, it's not the main focus of the show by any means. Pay more attention to House and the way he acts and what he does and I think you'll enjoy the show a heck of a lot more.
