I'm really glad they're are back into the storyline.I kinda like starting to hate those episode that dont really move the story. Just a little chit chat in the beginning and the end. In between, nothing great. I admit some of the episodes really funny and I enjoy it. Monster movie, yellow fever etc, but I'm so thrill about all the Lucifer, apocalypse and I have to wait with all the subplot to get to the big storyline.

I fully agree. All those filler eps have been fun and everything but let's get back to the important stuff huh?

at least this season, though...even the fillers have wholesomeness. Dean and Hell's a big deal.
Monster Movie's been the only really "fluffy" (filler) episode so far this season. The others - wishful thinking...yellow fever (not sure that one counts - despite its hilarity, it dealt with some serious dean issues) - have all been important in some way to the central plot.
We can't even compare it to previous seasons where there were episodes like "Bugs" or "Tall Tales" or even "Red Sky at Morning" and "Ghostfacers". Those eps only had single sentences of value...
Wishful Thinking had two topics of great importance, in my eyes:
- Dean's confession of remembering hell and his refusal to speak about it
- Sam revealing how much he's changed..."Lilith's head on a plate" as his greatest wish wasn't what anyone was expecting
So far, I'm not too worried about filler...but later in the season, who knows? Much as I love suicidal teddy bears and scary puppies, the arcs are more intriguing.
Can't wait for Sammy to discover a new ability so that Dean can freak at him.
* MY ONE REQUEST: MORE SAMMY SCENES!!! *Looks like we're gonna get 'em in the form of flashbacks this time...thus the title. Very exciting.

yeah yellow fever dealt with Dean issues but it just a small scene they should just put it in other episode and never made too much filler eps. Wishful thinking has great values but overall I expect more than that. And Sammy storyline is getting slower he did not have enough scene. this season is all about Dean I barely see Sammy.

Yellow Fever was way important! Not only did it deal with Dean issues, but at the very end we see Sammy's eyes flash yellow - is he turning into a demon? Who knows, this season anything could happen.

I agree with you guys on the fillers, despite some of the funny moments, I still hope that they will move on to the main plot. And the episodes like Yellow Fever and Wishful thinking have some rather important part on Dean. Actually I looking forward for more Dean's Hell experience.
According to the interview, this season is more about Dean as compared to the last three seasons, so I kind of expect it to be more Dean centric.

"....this season is all about Dean I barely see Sammy."
Good. The last 3 seasons have been so "Sam involved". It's good that they are branching out into other directions, and it's about time they focused on Dean's character. To tell you the truth a part of me was getting sick of the whole "Poor Sammy .. blah blah." It's about time they moved on to the outcome of all that crap. I love this season, I love where they are going with it and love the fact that it's not all about Sam being so special, we see now that Dean has a greater purpose too.

yeah I agree. I'm too is sick about Sammy and his crap and actually happy they focused much about Dean. I love Dean. I hate Sam. No offense but I like they focus on Dean as much as I hate Sam. Its about damn time.
