The Bride

Ok so lets admit it from the trailer we all expected so much more from what was for me was another build up episode. this week i was hoping that some story lines would end and that we would actually see clark using his abilities in a good old fasion fight we have not seen in about 3 seasons.

As for the Lois Clark passion that seemed to get nowhere once more thanks to the much uneened return of miss lana lang who i must say have become one of the most dull and unessetial characters of the show. in my opinion she has been brought back in this episode because the writer thought that it would please fans but to be truthful it just wasted precious screen time with her ranting about herself and how hard it has been for her the same thing she does in every episode she has ever been in!!! dispite this she does seem to have some little connection to the story but nothing that seems to be too big.

next subject is the main one of the episode the doomsday creature or davis. this seems to have done exactly what we all expected be out of control kill a few folk kidnap chole and thro clark across a room before running off, the big twist was at the end when a shadowed figure that is supposed to be lex seems to me to be controling the doomsday creature or at least that is what i hope in my eyes that would be a brilliant way to sum up last seasons threats along with identifing davis's blackouts what if when he becomes the doomsday creature he inst davis but infact its lex controling from that machine and lana and tes are trying to figure out who is moving him around.

overall as the epidoes i was hiping it to be it has been a disapointment but as an episode for a build up it was fantastic bar the pointless lana rantings and i must say i am much looking forward to where this goes in janurary im just disapointed we have to wait that long for the next episode :(

Possible spoilersI disagree with what you’re saying I feel that this episode has tied up two relationship stories and set one up them being Clark and Lana, Oliver and Lois and finally set in motion Clark and Lois’s. I also think your forgetting that they are loosely following the actual superman story in which Lana does reappear in one of the movies and as for Lex in the actual doomsday story he is just an observer(in line with the original)and the matter of not seeing a full blown fight with Clark is because he needs to hide his identity to protect his close friends and family but essentially you are that this is just a build up episode but I feel that most of these build episode were needed to tie up the plot because this is most likely to be the last season since Smallville is meant to be the years before Clark Kent takes up full time superhero.
