I agree somewhat - Omega was awesome, but the other episodes weren't really dull or nostalgic; they just focused relied too much on the hotness of the actresses and the same morally debatable operations/existance of the Dollhouse. Past episodes could have had much more engaging new plot lines.Still, dull fails to describe "The Dollhouse" as a show in any episode.Arousing or otherwise captivating, this show entertains even with occasional shortcomings in particular episodes.
Again, however, OMEGA did kick some major butt.

I too think the earlier indulging in the sexual storylines was a wasted opportunity. We got that very quickly and were replused, as I suppose we were supposed to be. The more interesting storylines, the quickening of the Ballard plot, the use of the Dolls as 'agents' to solve crimes, was by far more interesting, and much better tv. I don't imagine DH will be renewed - morally too dubious and frankly, until too late, dull.

i really hope dollhouse is renewed. I thought the finale was brilliant...but i have to disagree that the other episodes were dull. I thought every single episode from the pilot to the finale was brilliant. I cannot understand how this show is not through the roof popular. It is really well made, it has great storylines and awesome moral questions are put forward...It has a good balance between light episode long storylines and longer, heavier and more intense storylines that developed in a couple of episode or through the entire season.
All the actors and actresses have done a good job, and the characters are very intriguing....
It baffles me how anyone could think this show is anything short of epic-ly mindblowing!

The Dollhouse needs to be renewed for a second season!I don't agree, I think the episodes were great from the beginning and just got better and better. I don't know how this season will be topped with all the crazy things that happened, I was excited for each episode and not once let down by it.
RENEW THE DOLLHOUSE!!!

Maybe 'dull' does not best describe the earlier episodes of Dollhouse but Come On! The 'sex thing' was 'in ya face' and the show dwelling on the 'morality issues' only made it less fun. The show literally blew up with the revelation of Alpha. Still, Adelle and Topher playing on the floor in 'Echoes' that was funny.
Personally, I expected more from Joss Whedon. As much as I like his work, I forsee yet another potentially brilliant series biting the dust after just one season.
