Shrek Forever After again topped the weekend box office, beating all new releases to retain the No. 1 spot for the third straight week.
The fourth installment in the DreamWorks franchise reeled in $25.3 million to bring its total to $183 million, according to Box Office Mojo. Shrek easily beat Judd Apatow's latest laugh-fest, Get Him to the Greek, which bowed in second place with $17.4 million.
Killers, Ashton Kutcher and Katherine Heigl's romantic-action comedy, followed in third place with a $16.1 million debut, landing ahead of Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time ($13.9 million) and Sex and the City 2 ($12.6 million).
The weekend's other new releases, Marmaduke and Splice, debuted in sixth and eighth with $11.3 million and $7.45 million, respectively.
Rounding out the top 10: Iron Man 2 (No. 7, $7.7 million); Robin Hood (No. 9, $5.5 million); and Letters to Juliet (No. 10, $3 million).
