Writer/producers Jon Kinnally and Tracy Poust know a thing or two about romance and relationships on a TV comedy, and the 'Will & Grace' veterans will bring that experience to their new gigs as showrunners for NBC's midseason comedy 'Love Bites.'
According to The Hollywood Reporter, Kinnally and Poust will oversee the show as part of a two-year, seven-figure deal with Universal Media Studios. The duo, who ran the last two seasons of 'Will & Grace,' also co-wrote and produced 'Ugly Betty' at ABC for four seasons.
"We worked with Jon and Tracy for many years on 'Will & Grace' and feel they are perfect for this job on 'Love Bites,'" NBC primetime entertainment president Angela Bromstad said. "Not only do they bring intelligence, passion and great experience, but they are one of the funniest writing duos working in television today. This is great news for an incredibly promising new show."
The hiring of the new 'Love Bites' showrunners is the latest switcheroo in the show's so-far rocky road to primetime.
