Question regarding The Stolen Earth (SPOILER?)

I am not sure if this is a spoiler, I kind of doubt it. But when Donna was sitting on the staircase she heard something, was that just me or did it kind of sound the sound of drums like the master kept hearing?

Yes - at first I thought it was a heartbeat - and then I immediately thought of the Master - I'm glad someone else was thinking the same thing. But what are the chances that they would go that route with Donna? I'm thinking it's a pretty slim chance, lol - so I'll stick with the heartbeat for now.
But yes, I was thinking it. :)

It sounded like a heartbeat to me.. The master's drum beat was in quadruple time..

It was the sound of that bug that was on her back, think she just kinda dismissed it like when she was in her alternate timeline in "turn left" think they are leaving the option open to have her change the timeline if the fans are too upset with the new doctor. Proof "There's something on your back" by the white hair in the Shadow Proclamation.

There are quite a few speculations about that sound, but IMHO it's not likely, that this sound was linked to the Master. His drums sounded different.
The bug theorie is also plausible. But I'm certain, that's not (like bradcool1 commented) to leave an option open. The story for the doctor is written far in advance and they've already made the specials for next year and Tennant is obligated to be the Doctor untill 2010.
But there is a possibility, that we see in the final episode this week a regeneration of the doctor with a new actor. Although, I think that in the end there comes the big Reset-Button Russle T.Davis is famous for. :)
Naturally these are all just speculations. Let's wait an be surpriesed by a possible unforseen twist.

we also haven't seen anything on his daughter since the ep she was created, she could play an important role in helping him return(probly at her own death (or regeneration)

Sorry but I don't see the daugther return for the finale. russel T. Davis wanted to kill her off, she is just still alive thanks to Moffat. So the Doctor's daughter is likely to return in the new season produced by Moffat.

Personally I really doubt that Tennant will be returning as Doctor. I mean, I'd love it! But his time is over, now Matt is going to have his turn... Maybe in some kind of special when they need two Doctors and the parallel worlds collide AGAIN (mind, they do that quite a lot, considering it's actually impossible), Tennant would make a Guest Star appearance, but I'm afraid that would be it :( Still, even that would be great!
