Mario Lopez is VH1's new Scott Baio.
The Extra and America's Best Dance Crew host is getting his own reality show chronicling Lopez's life as he prepares to be a first-time dad while balancing his busy work life, the network confirmed to TVGuide.com.
VH1 has ordered eight half-hour episodes of the untitled series which will debut in the fall.
"Our audience has watched Mario go from a kid in a fictional high school to a man who has succeeded in many different facets of the TV business," said VH1 exec Jeff Olde.
Lopez, 36, is best known for his role as A.C. Slater on the 1990s teen sitcom Saved by the Bell. He more recently has appeared on the The Bold and the Beautiful and Nip/Tuck.
