As "American Idol" enters the home stretch, it continues to pull in stronger ratings than it had been previously, and Tuesday's performance brought FOX the total viewers crown, barely edging its chief rival CBS.
FOX nabbed 14.9 million viewers and an 8.6 rating/13 share, just ahead of CBS' 14.3 million and 9.0/15. ABC followed with a 9.8 million, 6.1/10, then NBC with 7.6 million, 4.6/7 and then The CW in last with 1.3 million, 0.8/1.
The adult demo flocked to FOX, which led with a 5.7. ABC and NBC tied for second with a 3.0 each, then CBS, 2.9 and The CW, 0.6.
