Mental Pilot: Exceptional!

Please DO NOT listen to the nay-sayers: this show is different than House!!! I'm hoping that FOX is smart enough to give the show a chance and to make sure it doesn't mirror the currently existing and just fading medical shows like House, ER, etc. I'd love to see how this show evolves and 3-6 episodes are not enough to do this. GIVE IT A CHANCE!

The show is certainly different than House. It is filled with bad acting, dull and slow plots, and poor production value. I found myself more entertained by Mental's ads than the actual show. On the bright side, I do not see how the episodes could get worse.
Mental Pilot : Horrendous!

I agree with DBZOGRE...I saw the previews for mental and decided to give it a chance, but to me it was just boring and full of bad acting. And btw, I think House is still a great show, even after 5 seasons.

This show is horrible. I watched the pilot and the second episode thinking it may get better, it didn't! It blows

I disagree with the previous comments. This series deserves a chance. I enjoyed the first two episodes and I look forward to the rest of the season.

I think that the series has potential. The filming has an authentic feel to it, and the way they depict the mental illness from the perspective of the patient is fantastic. Not liking the interns, but Jack grabbed me right from the naked scene in the pilot (and not for those reasons!). It's a great psychiatrist who puts the patient in before of their own dignity, and that was the best way to reach that patient - enter into his delusion, and use the delusion to reach him. The red headed doctor is great too, and the black guy is hands rubbingly smarmy.
