Supernatural Goes Anime in 2011

Well this is interesting. Cinema Today is reporting that highly acclaimed Japanese anime studio Madhouse is producing a 22 episode season of Supernatural that will cover the first two seasons of the cult CW demon-hunting favourite starring Jared Padalecki and Jensen Ackles. According to their website, this would be the first overseas drama to ever be developed by a Japanese animation studio.

AWWWWW SWEEEET!!, Madhouse have some of Japan's most skilled artists working for them (in my opinion) im really interested in what kind of style they will make the action scenes and fight scenes, its strange how an anima can really bring the story to life.... compared to real world acting which is restricted to the possible.

I'm really not looking forward to this. I do enjoy some anime, but I personally don't think I can make any emotional attachments to cartoons. I think that the actors portray vulnerability so subtly (while playing monster hunters) and so well that I cannot see how that can be matched by drawn figures. Anyone notice how Jensen clutches his jaw every time Dean feels sad, vulnerable or sad even while spewing bad-ass remarks. I don't see that being matched in anime.

Supernatural + Anime = the best of both mother fing worlds! As someone who has seen more than 2000 anime eps in Japanese, I find I tend to enjoy animes more than live action series. I simply LOVE supernatural the live action and now that an anime is in the works I'm practically premature ejaculating in anticipation :D Also that ad for Eric Kripke is badass I wish I had known about it so I could have donated. Whatever show Eric comes out with next one thing is certain I will be watching :)
