Trapdoor review (No spoilers)

Charlie's interest with the Russian mob is piqued when he and Reese are called to the bodies of three men - two obviously Russian heavies and the third plainly not - who have been killed, execution style.

Crews and Reese have a few chats to their Russian nightclub contact to try to get some insight into the case, and put themselves, and those they love or care about, in danger from the Eastern bloc killers. Someone breaks in to Charlie's house in the middle of the night and he shoots them....

Meanwhile, in jail, Ted finds that he has friends in unexpected places, and there could be a problem with the new FBI building under construction....

Just to warn you, do not even begin to imagine this is an ordinary episode, in case you, like me, get a bit bored with mob-type episodes. There's a kick at the end that you don't see coming. Life has been consistently one of the most intelligent detective series around at the moment, and deserves a much bigger share of the audience.

This episode will not disappoint.

Yes, I thought we were looking at a kidnapping scenario. I suspect it might well be a season finale - or at least a mid season break.
