How about Zarek for number 5? Something about the character currently is making me lean in that direction....

no idea, for a sec I thought maybe gaeta was the 5th,
I'm just glad both of them are dead (I think)
Ah well, the trouble is you can never be sure with sci-fi. I was actually surprised at the ending - I don't know why. I just was. (edit your comment with a possible spoiler bit at the top...)
This contains a spoiler if you aren't up on all the new episodes of 4.5............but I thought everyone knew already that Kate Vernon's Ellen was the Final Cylon. In fact, she's going to be reborn in a goo bath in the next episode...or so the promo teased.
I wasn't convinced by that 'vision' in the opening episode. I don't know why - I mean, what's with Starbuck if Ellen is 5?No, I still think there are too many possibilities to call it yet.
I'm not sure how I feel about that. Thanks for the link. What does that make Starbuck?Part of me thinks they're all bl00dy cylons!
I know, the whole Starbuck thing leaves it all wide open for me too. I just keep playing in my head that "All this has happened before; all this will happen again". I take that to mean that all the primary people were put there, in place, by someone or something and they are all meant to perform the tasks and roles they've been given. I typically dislike the Fate proposition because I like to think that I have choices and my future is open to the results of my choices. Whereas BSG seems more to follow the Fate idea that no matter who or what you are, your choices are made for you and accept the role you have been given. I am excited to find out what happens and how it all plays out.
Well i'm with fudgefase!!!!! i think that they are all cylons and well i wanna know where the goo bath is if they killed off the resurrection ship...... that could open up a whole other can of problems now that the cylons that made a pact. with the fleet , can be reborn again....... they could be like" um sorry we changed our mind and we don't need the human race anymore ...... thats if they are not all cylons.......
I believe all the resurrection ships are destroyed. Ellen died a long time ago (back on New Caprica) and must have resurrected right after she died. The real question in my mind is where has she been and what has she been doing?
Much as I thought Ellen was an amusing character there mainly to giave us some insight into Tigh's character, to make her somehow a central point to the plot now would be ridiculous. I mean, the reaction if she was to be a cylon reveal - "Oh, it's Ellen. Gosh, how bizarre. Oh well, let's get on with the plot then...."her character had no input into the fighting capabilities of the fleet or in the command of the fleet, except for her influence over Tigh - and since he's 'come out', what's to be gained by making her somehow special? It doesn't fit.And spot the resurrection ship? How about the sun/moon or even the earth itself?
This contains a spoiler............Its kind of weird that Ellen is the 5th Cylon. I thought for sure it was Starbuck. But since the latest episode, 'No Exit' reveals that there are 8 cylon models...i'm thinking it could be Starbuck after all. I mean Ellen said that his name was Daniel and that he was an artist before Cavil destroyed him. So maybe Starbuck is Daniel in disguise but she doesn't knw. Cuz we already knw that she's an artist and she used to paint before the war...how else did she knw how to find earth...?
Neat idea. To be honest though, I think it's getting to a point where I haven't a clue what's happening.....
i just read this and OMG! i really recommend it
Canddoce26...I like your thoughts on how Starbuck might be Daniel. That's very interesting indeed. I want to think on that before I respond to it.
I can sympathise with Cavil's anger. All the other 'skin jobs' get young, fit, healthy bodies. Why would Ellen have made him an old guy, saggy, baggy, wrinkly. If I were him, I'd be mad as h3ll too!My feelings were that they tried to cram slightly too much informtion in to this episode, and it came out a bit forced. Still, it's BSG and I can forgive them most things. Would LOVE Starbuck to be Daniel, but I not convinced that's not a red herring. I think we need to see the Cylons 'gifts' coming into their own soon - at the moment they seem to just hang around and make snide remarks. What about the one (I'm terrible on names) who was besotted with Starbuck? That relationship has never been explained. A great character (actor as well) who is woefully underused.
Fudgefase...you are talking about Leoben and i agree the older models are so lost and have no purpose. I think the 5 will help them evolve further. I didn't think there was too much information shared...on the contrary, I could have taken some more. And it did unfold well. It's not like watching Heroes and after an hour you're like WTF just happened. It could have been done so much worse. I think it was just right. I have a feeling The One True God theme is going to resurface and the Cylons will find their way...does anyone else feel like the biggest hope now lies with the Cylons...like Humans have been played out...much like Galactica, and perhaps the story continues without the Humans we love. Why do I think things are going that direction?
ok guess we know now that Starbuck's dad was Daniel
