One Tree Hill Episode Recap: "I Can't See You, But I Know You're There"

"The truth is when it gets really quiet when the silence gets too loud and I really start to miss everyone, I tell myself the same thing: I can't see you, but I know you're there."

Haley begins this week's episode of One Tree Hill by writing the above in a letter to Lucas. It applies to her missing Lucas, Peyton, Keith, Karen, her mom and others, and becomes the episode's theme.

Hayley goes looking for her sister at Clay's, and instead of leaving when nobody answers the door, she makes her way in and finds Quinn and Clay on the floor lifeless. Despite bleeding out for 12 hours, they're still hanging on and rushed to the hospital. Although they're alive, they're unconscious.

Since Haley is in the waiting room, she sends her friends to pick up Jamie. When he refuses to leave with Mia or Chase, Julian shows up to spend the day with him. The two bond until Jamie picks up on the fact that something must be wrong with Quinn because it was her day to pick him up.

Nathan shows up at the hospital and talks to Clay while he's in the coma. "You're the warrior," he whispers, "I'm so much better because of you." He tells him he loves him and Clay, who is watching over, says, "I love you too, Nate." In the next room, Haley talks to Quinn. She tells her she's pregnant and that she wants her to be the godmother. "It's meant everything to have you near me this past year ... Come home soon, Quinny. If you see mom, tell her to send you right back here to me," she says. Ghost Clay then pleads with Quinn: "You have to leave me now."
