After witnessing all the squabbles on The Real Housewives of Atlanta, you kind of wish that these ladies would just call a truce so they can get a long once and for all. It's nearly impossible though because for one thing, it's a TV show and there's just too much beef going on between NeNe and Kim. And in the end, all you really want to see are the crazy catfights that got you hooked in the first place.
Unfortunately, that wish sort of came true in The Real Housewives of Atlanta season 2 reunion show. It's weird because if you've seen the first season's reunion special, much less the other housewives franchise's reunion episodes, you were probably expecting a show that would match, if not exceed, past seasons. Sure it's a refreshing change from all that table-flipping drama but considering how things ended between NeNe and Kim in the finale, this was surely a huge letdown.
Speaking of the huge letdown, this reunion special brought back memories of Sheree and Kim's super-hyped fight outside a restaurant, which was supposed to be the biggest catfight in Real Housewives history though it turned out as a lame wig-readjustment. When asked by Andy Cohen why she yanked Kim's wig a little bit, Sheree explained that she was just trying to calm down and didn't really want to pull the wig off. But as much as we'd love to see Kim's real hair, we're probably better off not knowing the horror underneath Kim's wig.
It's hard enough to tolerate Kim's "Tardy for the Party" but trying to hear her sing it live was a different story. And the only consolation we got was the look on Lisa and NeNe's face as Kim took center stage. Meanwhile, we also learned, courtesy of Kim, that Dwight had a penis implant--- a revelation that annoyed Dwight for a moment until he came up with the most brilliant retort: "It's just like when women breast implants to make them feel like more of a woman."
Lisa, who was hiding behind her hair according to Dwight, had a lot of things to say about The Real Housewives of Atlanta's resident gay boyfriend. They got into a somewhat heated exchange over her fashion show and how Dwight criticized it in a non-classy way. The bottom line is that Dwight was not apologetic and Lisa won't invite him to her next fashion show.
NeNe and Kandi
OK so now we're down to our final two housewives, NeNe and Kandi, who also had a little squabble of their own earlier this season. Basically, NeNe thought that Kandi was ghetto--- which didn't really make any sense since both Kandi and NeNe weren't really offended by being called ghetto.
That's it folks! Another season has ended but be sure to check back for updates on The Real Housewives of Atlanta, as well as The Real Housewives of Orange County, now showing every Thursday on Bravo.
