Michaele and Tareq Salahi are going from the White House's security list to Bravo's A-list.
Michaele Salahi is part of the cast of The Real Housewives of D.C., premiering Thursday, Aug. 5 at 9/8c.
The latest installment of the Bravo franchise - the fifth following Orange County, New York City, Atlanta and New Jersey - will spotlight Salahi and four other women living in the nation's capital shortly after the election and inauguration of President Barack Obama.
"We wanted to dive into the Beltway subculture as it underwent an historic shift, one that previously has not been readily accessible or portrayed, and look at the political hierarchy and definitive social circles that make up D.C.'s unique society," said Andy Cohen, Bravo's senior vice president of original programming and development. "We knew this was going to expose a different social narrative from any of our other Housewives series - provocative and engaging in a whole new way."
