Vampire blood

Hey!

i was watching some clip of the show

and i found it to be weird that when Sookie was drinking Bills blood all she got was "super senses" while her brother, with just one drop of vampire blood, would get all drugged and "High"

if someone could explain it to me... thanks :)

Hmmm...I am not sure...but 2 theories:1. Maybe Sookie reacts differently since we know she is "special" or2. Maybe the V that her brother buys is super-processed in a way that it's like...a higher concentration...since they make it like it's ecstasy or something when it comes in that little vile.
Anybody else have other ideas?

Well, in Sookie's case, she had been beaten and almost killed. The blood she drank from Bill helped regenerate her body from those injuries. But remember, it did made her senses hightened (she could smell food that had dropped underneath a reclinder), including her libido.
I think that in Jason's case, the blood was not performing the task of regenerating a deeply injured body, which meant it seriously heightened his senses resulting in the V high.

it might be up to the vampire as in bill wanted to heal her but the stolen v is like poison if you have to much it will kill you but a littel bit is just harm full.
or she's half vamp or somthing or destent to be one 1.

I recommend the books, they are quite different than the show but do explain alot of the subtleties the show can't spend time on to explain. Sookie is not half vampire.

Yeah, but the blood he took from the vampire in the basement wasn't processed so why did it effect him different? I may have to watch season 1 again in preparation for season 2! If I start getting the train to work again I'll definately check out the books.

This is just a theory. Maybe it's because she's a girl and her body chemistry is different.Salvia causes different reactions in guys and girls.

IMO V is a lot like morphine. If you take it to relieve pain, you wont get addicted to it and it will do it's job. If you take it when your not in pain the result is a high plus addiction. Much like what was said already.

One thing to consider too is the difference in drinking blood directly from a Vampire's vein and taking V that has been removed from a Vampire for an undetermined amount of time. There is evidently a difference in there as well.
