For all their attempts at holding on to their fame, the Kardashians continue their success. The highly anticipated wedding episode of Keeping Up with the Kardashians, in which Lamar Odom tied the knot with Khloe, topped the ratings last Sunday.
CNN reports that the two-hour installment managed to haul in around 3.2 million viewers for the network, truly a record for the series. It definitely shocked many viewers, but most of all it was a pleasant surprise for the bride, Khloe Kardashian herself.
"I was skeptical to have everything documented because it was such an emotional time but now that's its done I think it is such a positive and beautiful thing," the 25-year-old newlywed told the publication.
Khloe Kardashian and Lamar Odom were wed last September, following their engagement earlier that month. The ceremony was held at a private residence of a family friend, in a mansion located in Beverly Hills. Over 200 guests attended the event, including the show's executive producer Ryan Seacrest and the groom's Lakers teammates.
One of the highlights of the wedding episode was Lamar Odom tearing up during the wedding, since it was, of course, his big day. His wife announced that initially, even he didn't think filming the wedding was a good idea.
"Lamar has seen the episode and he loved it, but he was skeptical of it," Khloe Kardashian said. "He's a guy and of course he thinks that he looks corny on television."
In the end though, they didn't regret it. "I don't think any of us expected the show or this episode to do so well," the Kourtney and Khloe Take Miami star explained. "In the beginning we just did it for fun, for ourselves and it has snowballed into this huge thing. I am just shocked every time I see the numbers and hear all the comments."
With the success of this wedding episode, do the Kardashians think they can top that? Kourtney's baby is on the way, but for Khloe that isn't a step she's in a hurry to take.
"We definitely talk about it," she said of having a kid with Lamar. "Right now we are house hunting and we are not planning to have a baby but we're not doing anything to not have a baby right now."
