Have Mercy...

The show would be 200% better if the character Veronica were to 'disappear'. She's not a likable character. No moral compass and the reasoning and coping skills of a rock. The show should focus on the other two nurses, who have more personality and character development.

I love Veronica so your assumption that she is not likeable is WRONG. Just coz you don't like her doesn't mean the entire world doesn't too, hun. If Veronica goes the show is DONE.

Wow, thanks strawburrycutie for not allowing anyone to have an opinion other than yours. Now if you wish to add a comment that does not attack someone else's opinion, then you will live up to a democratic ideal. Try it sometime.

You both have very strong opinions. I agree with hoffmfel that her coping skills are non existent, and that her moral compass seems to be broken, but I think that the writers are trying to inform us on the effects of traumatic experiences on the mind.
However I also agree with StrawBerryCutie that without Veronica, the show would suffer. The audience relates to her over reactions as we all over react sometimes, however they are taken to the extreme. She is also some what of an link that glues the plots together. We are getting the other nurses character development through Veronica.
Maybe it could have been better if the writer gave her a few more personable qualities, she would be more endurable. I feel they are trying to do a Nurse Jackie, but they have seemed to be a little of course.

I don't particularly like Veronica, mostly because I hate the whole Veronica/Mike/Sands thing (I can't even remember his first name?). But I do think she's likeable, even though I don't personally like her. She has good moments. And I can sympathise with her often. But I much prefer Sonia and Chloe. But Veronica can't just disappear, even if in the more annoying moments I wish it, because she's so important to the show.

I think the point of Veronica's somewhat vacant expression is that she is deep in Post-traumatic-stress-syndrome, for which she has not (until the very end of the latest episode) begun to acknowledge or get help for.I think she is a very beautiful and very delicately gifted actress and is playing the character extremely well, but the way she is being written as 'drifting' rather than the other two principal nurses (who have NOT been to war, remember) is kinda the point. IMHO, in case anyone thinks I'm attacking anyone else. I'm not.
