The Stargate franchise was been very good to the man best known as MacGyver. General O'Neill (Richard Dean Anderson) makes contact again, and this time he wants the crew of the Destiny to consider a risky plan cooked up by IOA scientists that could return the unwitting space explorers to Earth. Meanwhile, Eli and Chloe use the communication stones to turn their homecoming into a happy hour.
In a surprising twist, Clark flips the switch when he sets out to rescue Jor-El (Julian Sands) from Zod instead of the other way around. Why Jor-El is poking around at the Kent farm is another question, but he encounters Chloe there and that's bound to be fun. Meanwhile, a misguided Zod, convinced that Jor-El is the Blur, teams up with Tess to hunt him down. This, of course, is why Clark is trying to rescue his father.
