"I'll be feeling good by nine, after my third glass of wine." ---those are just some of the words from The Real Housewives of Atlanta star Kim Zolciak's latest single. Co-star NeNe Leakes may have mocked Zolciak's singing efforts but that hasn't stopped her from pursuing a singing career. In fact, there's already some sort of buzz surrounding her single, which has been conveniently leaked online.
"My debut single, 'Tardy for the Party' was leaked to the internet yesterday without my consent, or the producers," Zolciak wrote on her website. "There is blame being placed every where, but all I can say is that our intention was for it to never hit the internet in the way it did. We had hoped to keep it part of the Bravo TV show and release it via iTunes upon the release on the show. I do appreciate many of your kind comments regarding the song, but we are working to get it down. It seems to be a task though, because it is now every where. Almost like a virus. Soon enough it will be on iTunes and all of you can hear it then and purchase it and support the hard work on the single. Thank you for understanding and I really do appreciate all of your continued support."
Somehow it's hard to believe that "Tardy for the Party" was actually leaked and I couldn't really imagine anyone who would put so much effort just to hear Kim Zolciak sing. If you recall, she struggled to carry a tune on the first season of The Real Housewives of Atlanta, prompting Leakes to ridicule her country singing efforts to the other Atlanta Housewives ---which ultimately caused a rift in their friendship. Since then, she became friends with newcomer in their friendship, a Grammy-winning singer-songwriter, and seemingly switched to a more upbeat genre.
If you're brave enough, you can listen to an excerpt of the single here.
