Familiarity can breed discontent. The vampires on 'True Blood' live for a long time, and so they've had a lot of arguments with each other. And over a thousand-year-period, it's easy to see how simple fighting could ratchet up -- into something much worse. Like the desire to commit murder, for instance.
Russell and Eric are having a bit of a feud. It seems that Russell (Denis O'Hare) slaughtered Eric's family a thousand years ago. Well, we can understand how someone could still be angry about that. As revenge, Eric (Alexander Skarsgård) killed Russell's gay lover. So now they're both pretty upset.
On the latest episode (Sun., 9PM ET on HBO). Russell is still mourning his lover. (And he's carrying around his dead boyfriend's bloody remains inside a glass container -- gross.)
Then, the vampire Authority shows up. They want Russell out of the picture -- permanently. Eric is more than happy to go along with this request. So it seems like this ancient feud may be coming to a decisive end.
