As we have mentioned in the past, Scrubs is a show that has been particularly impacted (negatively) by the strike. Like other shows, Scrubs is in the very least getting a reduced season; the larger problem is that Scrubs cannot finish up any lingering storylines next season because this is the last one!
As of now, 11 of the 18 episodes that were originally set to be produced for the series have been made. 5 have already aired and the other 6 will begin airing in April. The rest of the season has not yet been picked up, meaning that no proper finale has been filmed.
This is the state of limbo that us Scrubs fans have remained in since the strike concluded (and NBC has remained disturbingly mum about the issue). Luckily, things are finally starting to look up. According to Michael Ausiello from TVGuide, NBC wants Scrubs to end properly (why they would want anything else is beyond me), the "details of which are almost worked out".
Sounds promising. Stay tuned for more details!
