Cancellation Buzz: Heroes is Dead (Official)

This has been the buzz for the last few days now - so it shouldn't come as all too huge of a shocker - but Heroes has been officially canceled.

From EW:

"The beleaguered drama only averaged 6.5 million viewers this year. It last aired on Feb. 8, when it only brought in a mere 4.4 million.

The show never managed to recapture those stellar ratings from its critically-beloved first season, when it averaged a whopping 14.5 million. There has been talk that NBC may air a movie that allows the producers to wrap up the story, but nothing has been set in stone. NBC will announce its fall lineup to advertisers Monday in New York."

Are you happy/sad/surprised/don't care that the once fan-favorite is now dead?

I'm glad to see it go, but I wish they'd been more in touch with that reality when filming the last part of the season. While a good amount was resolved & I'm just generally tired of Heroes overall, I still have a minor desire to know what the final revelations were meant to be.

We all saw it coming the last two seasons haven't been up to scratch and I definitely wont be paying £4 to go watch a movie that's just basically going to be the same as the tv show I mean what else could possibly happen in the movie there'll be a new baddie and Claire, Peter, Hiro and Tracy are somehow not going to die.I'm getting bored just commenting on the show but, its still kind of sad to see it go though.

I liked heroes, so it seems weird to say I welcome this news. It was necessary though.

The show would've gotten a lot higher ratings if they got rid of a few characters... Matt Parkman, Claire Benette. I for once wanted to see a season solely based on the dark future after Sylar killed the cheerleader.

Sad, but it needed to happen, I hope they get a chance to wrap it up although the final episode could - in my point of view do it justice.

I like the way it ended. It tied it up quite well - leaving the what happens next to the fans imaginations.

i don't feel like it ended properly so i think that it should come back to make the final conclusion that would be nice.

I loved (still do love) heroes and i think they shouldnt leave it on a cliffhanger ending...they should continue in some way to end the show properly.

Understandable. Sad, loyal fan til the end. I would love to see a Heroes tv movie that helps wrap up a few loose ends, but it wouldn't be the end of the world if that doesn't happen. Such a great start, it's just sad how this great show fizzled. On to better things, I hope.

I'm sad to see the show go. I was feeling like the show was starting to get good again in the last few episodes of Heroes. They did forget about a lot of characters they brought in and didn't have the story line well thought out, but I hope they bring the show back better than ever or at least make a movie. Cause I know I want to know what happens now that Claire let the cat out of the bag. I know I also really wanted to see Peter teamed up with Syler or even Syler dating Claire was always something I kept wanting to see happen.

OMG I am albsolutely gutted! I love the program! What annoys me is that they gave you a sneak preview of the next chapter but aren't going to follow it up with a new season! I really hope they do a movie to wrap it up!
