TV Ratings: 'Rookie Blue' and 'Boston Med' give ABC lead in key demographic

It was a big night for ABC, with the season premiere of "Wipeout" and the series premieres of "Rookie Blue" and "Boston Med." Though "Rookie Blue" performed well against the "So You Think You Can Dance" results show, "Boston Med" couldn't draw viewers away from CBS's rerun of "The Mentalist."

Pending updates for the live telecast, CBS won the night with 7.3 million viewers and a 4.8/9 share in households. ABC (6.7 million, 4.0/7) finished second, with FOX (5.1 million, 3.3/6) rounding out the top three. NBC's sitcoms drew only 2.1 million viewers and a 1.5/3, and vampire night on the The CW (1.0 million, 0.7/1) came in fourth.

ABC won the adults 18-49 demographic with a 1.9 rating. FOX was second with a 1.8, with CBS at 1.4. NBC averaged only 0.8 and The CW 0.4.
