The Forgotten (TV) may soon be forgotten by Michelle Borth: The star of the ABC crime drama has landed the lead role in the new ABC pilot The Matadors, according to The Hollywood Reporter.
Borth's deal would require her to stick with The Forgotten should the bubble show get a renewal, according to the Reporter.
Described as a "Romeo-and-Juliet-style" drama set in Chicago, The Matadors revolves around two feuding families, one in the state attorney's office and the other in a large law firm. Borth would play Juliana, a lawyer who works with her father in the state attorney's office. She begins an affair with Alex (Zach Gilford), who works at his father's law firm.
Former Raising the Bar star Jonathan Scarfe has also joined the series as Alex's brother, a defense attorney.
In other casting news, Brian Dennehy has joined Dana Gould in his sitcom pilot for ABC, while Amy Smart will star as a nurse in CBS' new medical drama from John Wells.
