Cancellation Buzz: Donald Faison Cast in CBS Pilot; Is Scrubs Over? - Featured

Donald Faison is trading his hospital scrubs for a police badge. The Scrubs alum has been cast in the CBS pilot The Odds, TVGuide.com has confirmed.

Faison will play the show's lead homicide detective. The cop series, set in Las Vegas, comes from Joel Silver (Moonlight) and Jeff Wadlow (The Tower of Babble).

Reps for Scrubs told TVGuide.com that Faison's casting will not affect this season since production has concluded. The Bill Lawrence-produced series will not know until May if it will be picked up for another season.

Faison was attached to a pilot last year and still made his way back to the ABC series.

Yes. Scrubs is excellent. It can still go on pretty well without Faison. Though he'd be missed.

Am I wrong in thinking that Scrubs has definitely been canceled?

Sure it'd be a little weird, like when it was no longer all about JD... and then when he left all together. But the show can go on without Turk, I think it's been well constructed and has the potential to go on on its own...Also, I think it should be advertised as the spin off, scrubs: med school. Like other spin offs, it could be a success in its own right.

Might as well be cancelled already. The new cast just doesn't deliver, dragging the old cast down with the show's reputation.

Sadly I have to agree with Dwakey. Scrubs has lost its groove, I used to absolutely love the quirky crazy humour and very real nerve this show posessed with its amazing cast, but it just isn't as good anymore. Something happened to it last season, and from there on out it didn't seem to really recover. Like they tried to keep it going eventhough it was time to stop.Great show tho all in all and thanks to Scrubs for the ride, and I look forward to seeing the old cast members in other things.

I don't even care. Scrubs is already dead in my mind. This newest season was terrible, the conclusion to the past season was 100% perfect, like you can't do it better. I hope it gets cancelled. Especially with JD not in the show that much anymore, and he kinda happens to be the main character, the show should just end, especially if Turk is no longer there.
