The success of ABC Family's The Secret Life of the American Teenager is no fluke.
Premiering the back half of its second season to 4.5 million viewers on Monday (Jan. 4) - 2.12 million were adults between the ages of 18 to 49 and 3 million between 12 to 34 - "Secret Life"'s return is now cable's No. 1 scripted premiere of the '09-'10 season in key demos, beating the debuts of TNT's Ray Romano series Men of a Certain Age (2.08 million, 18-49) and FX's Nip/Tuck (1.90 million, 18-49).
More good news for the network came as "Secret Life"'s lead-out Make It or Break It started the second half of its first season with 2.7 million tuning in (1.2 million adults 18 to 49, 1.7 million 12 to 34) at 9 o'clock.
