By the Numbers: Wednesday Knight

Wednesday night was pretty similar to Tuesday night in that people were watching CBS crime procedurals and Dancing with the Stars.

The CBS season premieres of Criminal Minds and CSI: NY opened with a healthy 15.1 and 15.5 million viewers respectively (I've never watched these shows...should I start?).

However, not every show on CBS got those mind-blowing numbers, as earlier comedies Gary Unmarried (which we at SideReel enjoyed) and The New Adventures of Old Christine only had around 6.5 million viewers apiece.

Dancing with the Stars - airing for the third consecutive night on ABC - grabbed another 15.6 million viewers. Also on ABC was that ridiculous David Blaine special (you know, the one where he supposedly hung upside down for 3 days, except it was kind of fake) which averaged 7.8 million viewers.

And NBC? Oh boy. Only 7.3 million tuned into Knight Rider and an even more paltry 6.1 caught the second season premiere of Lipstick Jungle. At least 10.2 million watched America's Got Talent, but Talent will soon end and where will that leave NBC?

So...going back to our Which Fall series will get canceled first? discussion, seems like Knight Rider and Gary are both prime candidates...

What did you enjoy on television last night?
