The Entourage masterminds are turning their attention to the ladies.
Executive producers Mark Wahlberg and Stephen Levinson are close to a deal with HBO to develop a female-centric comedy about a group of friends working and trying to find love in Los Angeles, according to The Hollywood Reporter.
Despite the setting, the untitled project won't be a female version of Entourage as it is not as focused on Hollywood as Entourage is, the trade paper says.
Wahlberg and Levinson are working with producers Leah Rachel and Emily Montague, who developed the concept. Rachel is writing the script.
Entourage will kick off its seventh season June 27.
Calls and e-mails to HBO were not immediately returned.
