25 Most Romantic Movies Since 1983

EW has released another one of their lists...this time ranking the 25 most romantic movies since 1983. All together now....awwww!

25 Best Romantic Movies of the Past 25 Years

If you're too busy to scroll through the list, the movies are:

25. Beauty and the Beast

24. The Piano

23. The Wedding Singer

22. Sid and Nancy

21. The English Patient

20. In the Mood for Love

19. Y tu Mama Tambien

18. Moonstruck

17. Say Anything...

16. Amelie

15. Out of Africa

14. Ghost

13. Dirty Dancing

12. Lost in Translation

11. Edward Scissorhands

10. There's Something About Mary

9. Pretty Woman

8. Jerry Maguire

7. When Harry Met Sally...

6. Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind

5. A Room With a View

4. Brokeback Mountain

3. Once

2. Moulin Rouge

1. Titanic

I don't know what you guys think. But as usual, I think that this list is all kinds of wrong. Titanic as #1? Once as #3? As if. Eternal Sunshine over When Harry Met Sally? No way!

No Sleepless in Seattle? No Forrest Gump (JENNY!!!)? I even think Wall-e deserves a slot on there.

What do you guys think?

I agree with you, they are smoking crack if they don't put The Notebook on that list, and I'd argue in the top 10! I think a man came up with this list! Moulin Rouge? Really? The Wedding Singer? There's Somthing About Mary? Those are not romantic films! They missed the mark on this one!!!

I can't argue with some like Brokeback Mountain, Dirty Dancing, Pretty Woman, Titanic... but I do agree that some goodies were left off here and some are certainly way out of order! The Notebook belongs on there for sure and Sleepless in Seattle - hey, even You've Got Mail hit my heartstrings FAR more than many of those on the list.

I actually loved Moulin Rouge...but #2 is a bit high, yes. And I totally agree that The Wedding Singer and Mary - both cute movies - have no business being on a Top 25 List. And I totally forgot about The Notebook! That's blasphemy. And a few more to throw out there: The American President, While You Were Sleeping and The Princess Bride.

OH The Princess Bride! Yes, I agree absolutely! I fell in love with Wesley! I do agree with Out of Africa and Say Anything. But where's Bridges of Maddison County or Ghost? Shakespere In Love? The English Patient? what do they know!
