More Super Office Guest-Casting

Yesterday we learned that Jack Black would be guesting starring in The Office's post-Super Bowl episode, "Stress Relief", airing on February 1, 2009.

Today, you can add Jessica Alba and Cloris Leachman to the list.

Jack Black and Jessica Alba will be playing the stars of a movie that the Office crew is downloading illegally. No word yet on Leachman's role.

Who else would you like to see appear in this episode?

I dont think the office really needs huge name guest stars, but I wouldnt mind seeing a guest role or two from the movie making crew Carrell is a part of(Paul Rudd, Seth Rogan, Stiller, Vaughan, Elizabeth Banks etc...) or maybe they could bring on Steven Colbert as Michael's brother or as a nemesis, homage to the Steven vs Steven bit the two used to do as members of the Daily Show.

I think some guest stars would be fun, but I do agree with ak10 that big name stars are really not needed - I almost feel as if it'd break some sort of ... TV wall with a show like The Office. Many of that cast have become (or like Steve Carrell were already reasonable famous), but the show doesn't reflect that beyond you can tell some character traits played up because of what fans like/what's loved about the show. But bring in some big guest stars and the show would get less perfectly understated, which would be tragic!

I think adding big name stars is a mistake. It will completely remove the already tenuous believability of the show and as kendra said it will no longer be understated, instead it will become some generic sitcom with recurring guest stars.
