FOX to air new House against Chuck - Featured

It looks like the NBC series Chuck has another enemy, but it's not one that will appear on screen. Fox has decided to show an original episode of their medical drama House on Jan 11, at the same time as Chuck's first episode in its Monday timeslot (the show's season premiere is Sunday, Jan. 10). This is two weeks before the show was originally scheduled to come back with new episodes.

I'm a fan of Chuck and I'm also a fan of Hugh Laurie from his days on Britcoms (although I don't really watch House), and I could tell you right now that House will likely win in the ratings for that night. The audience for House is far more mainstream than Chuck and there are more viewers for that show overall. Chuck is more of a minority cult-type show.

However, NBC can take it as a good sign that it's a viable show since Fox is concerned about ratings for the night. Hopefully it won't get so decimated in the ratings that it will stay on for a few years and not be moved to Friday nights.

I love both shows but I think this is just a dick move by Fox. They really seem to have it in for niche/cult shows i.e. their perpetual tormenting of Joss Whedon creations. I hope all the people who came out to support a Chuck renewal do the same for the show's regular timeslot.

Oh, Fox. They do seem to love messing with the cult shows. I love House, but it gets all the ratings it needs and more. I'll definitely be watching Chuck.

I watch both, but I'll take Chuck over House. It's much more fun to watch...it's one of the best shows out there!

That just means I have to watch Chuck live and see House later on HULU. I like House more, but I want to see a 4th season of Chuck, so they take priority, as House has no problems with ratings!

This is yet more proof that FOX is a company run by soul-less machines. :(

Wait a minute, House has been airing on Monday nights for a while now, and it's NBC who didn't have their act together and waited so long to bring back Chuck.
