Another Sunday night, another Celtics defeat of the Lakers NBA finals, another win for ABC.
Game 5 of the Lakers-Celtics NBC finals brought ABC an even bigger win than the previous Sunday night. It earned a 7.6 share/13 households and 12.8 million viewers average for the night. The 2010 Tony Awards on CBS garnered a second-place finish with 4.8/8 and 7.5 million viewers. NBC was in third with a 2.3/4 and 3.6 million viewers, with FOX right on its heels with a 2.0/3 and 3.4 million viewers.
The 18-49 demo average was an even bigger win for ABC at 4.8 share. FOX's animated series earned it a second-place 1.5, CBS' Tonys a 1.2 and NBC's "Dateline" and reruns a 1.0.
