Little J Almost Dies

So says US Magazine, at least, who reported that Taylor Momsen "has been hospitalized for a severe, potentially life-threatening throat infection since Sunday," though she was released today.

Why is it that only the scary-skinny actresses get things like "kidney infections" and "throat infections"? I'm just saying...

Luckily, "after aggressive antibiotics and medications, she is expected to make a full recovery in the next three to five days,"according to her doctor.

She didn't "almost die", to your question on why "scary-skinny actresses get things like "kidney infections" and "throat infections"?"
It's because of eating disorders, and not having the proper nutrition in their bodies. Seriously, look it up. I know some "fans" might get angry at that comment, but it's true.My little sister is "scary-skinny" but not due to an eating disorder, she's allergic to dairy aka lactose and tolerant, so she really does have to watch what she eats, but she's also VERY healthy for how skinny she is. You can see the difference between a healthy skinny, and an eating disorder skinny. Taylor falls under the eating disorder skinny category much like a lot of actresses. She's been in the biz for a while now, even though she's only 15 she's got a lot to compete with. It'd be no surprise or shock to me if we see her get even smaller, and maybe in a few years after her body has had enough neglect we'll read about her struggles with her eating disorder, and how she's trying to make it right. That's what I predict

@mikey...I don't think you detected the sarcasm in my post.Clearly she didn't almost die. I was taking a stab at the all of the press that it was "life-threatening".

No, I clearly didn't detect any sarcasm, seeing as how you can't "hear" the words when people type them, it's kind of difficult.

Is it me or do I hear some hostility above me? I wasn't trying to be rude in my response to you...just so you know.
Nonetheless, I appreciate your comments, and actually was insinuating myself that she may have health issues beyond a throat infection, so in some senses, I agree with you.

No hostility, but I don't understand how you can hear it. It all ties in with the not being able to detect sarcasm. I am not being hostile in any way, sorry if it comes off like that.

Hey Guys,
For some reason just thought I should add, I know your not saying this exactly, but im scary skinny and it has nothing to do with allergies and definatly not eating disorders. Im just skinny. I cant gain weight, and trust me I've tried. Just letting you know, because it can be kinda hurtful to have people constantly assuming you have an eating disorder. Whenever i get ill i refuse to go to the doctor unless im dying because they think every little illness i have is connected to a supposed eating disorder. Us skinny girls get it hard too.

i do find it insulting and take it personally when people see a skinny person and then immediately say "they're anorexic" or "they're bulemic".
honestly, Mickey, how can you know from looking that she's anorexic and not allergic to something? and its not only that, im really skinny also and i eat a LOT, i try to put on weight but i can't. so don't say all skinny people have eating disorders, its quite offensive. i have no idea why you tried to change taylor's throught infection into an eating disorder, that makes no sense. there IS such thing as being naturally skinny.
im not trying to be rude, but be careful making those kind of assumptions. besides media hype is 50% true and 50% fake.
