'24' might be gone (the TV version of it, anyway), but it appears as though the recently departed Fox drama has a good outplacement program. In fact, two of the show's alums have been cast on USA's new series 'Covert Affairs.'
After returning to reprise his role as the smarmy ex-President Charles Logan on '24's final season, the Ausiello Files is reporting that actor Gregory Itzin will appear on 'Affairs' in a multi-episode arc as Henry Wilcox, the former Director of Clandestine Services and father of CIA agent Jai, played by Sendhil Ramamamuthy ('Heroes').
'ER's Eriq La Salle is also guest-starring on the USA original series. He'll play a former spy stationed in East Africa who quit the agency after suffering a nervous breakdown, and who's now reluctant to rejoin the CIA despite the agency's numerous attempts to have him back.
'Covert Affairs,' follows newbie CIA agent Annie Walker (Piper Perabo) after she's inexplicably promoted to field operative with a month still left in her training. The USA drama, which also stars Christopher Gorham, Peter Gallager and Anne Dudek, premieres on the USA Network on Tue., Jul. 13 at 10PM.
