Robot Chicken Gets Big Renewal - Featured

Robot Chicken isn't going anywhere anytime soon. Adult Swim has announced the show has received a two-season, 40 episode pick up for Season 5 and Season 6. The stop-motion series, from Seth Green and Matthew Senreich, remains the top rated original on Adult Swim.

"We're very excited," says Green, "we never expected to do a second season, let alone a fifth and sixth, so we are thrilled by the audience response and how the show continues to grow internationally." Senreich says, "We love Adult Swim. It's really that simple. From the get-go, we've always said that Robot Chicken was a show where we play with friends and we look forward to doing that for years to come!"

I spoke to Green last week, at FOX's TCA (Television Critics Association) party, where he was in attendance in support of Family Guy. During our conversation, Green was tight-lipped about what bits might be in the works for the next season of Robot Chicken. However, when I mentioned Avatar, he did insinuate it wouldn't be shocking to see an Avatar-inspired sequence on the series at some point.
