I watched the premiere of The Secret Life of The American Teenager last night on ABC Family, so I guess that makes me one out of the record 2.8 million viewers.
Yep, the show set a record for the network for the most viewers for a new show's premiere. However, Kyle XY still holds the record for most viewers of an episode of an ABC Family Original program for last season's finale.
How did you guys like the premiere?
Personally, I was a little bit disappointed. I really wanted to like the show, but I found the characters to be a just a little bit too stereotyped for my taste (jock, band geek, Christian, etc.). However, most egregious for me was the dialogue. I just found so many of the interactions to be so far-removed from the way that conversations in high school would ever sound (or be about), that I frequently cringed when listening.
