A couple of things you should know about tonight Grey's Anatomy episode: first, it's Arizona-centric, and second, Izzie won't return until next week but she might still annoy you.
On "Invest in Love" one of Arizona's patient's very rich parents surprises birthday girl Arizona (Jessica Capshaw) with a generous donation of $25 million for additional research into their kid's condition. Of course, Arizona is speechless, so is the Chief and a member of the board, because they've apparently been having some money problems. However, when the patient's condition worsens, all eyes are on Arizona to fix it, including the father and donor, who admonishes her to "buy him more time."
Elsewhere on the Grey's Anatomy episode, one week before Izzie (Katherine Heigl) returns from wherever she went (she doesn't say), Alex is still dealing with the sudden disappearance, not to mention the left-over hospital bills that he must contend with. Apparently, the fact that they've worked in Seattle Grace for the better part of five years is not enough for insurance to cover everything. Could his newfound bond with Invader April (Nora Zehetner).
Finally, Cristina (Sandra Oh) is tired of Owen (Kevin McKidd) and actually begins to test her boundaries with him. This shouldn't be too well, considering that 24's Kim Raver is set to invade, or rather appear on Grey's Anatomy next week, as Owen's fellow Iraqi War vet, Dr. Teddy Altman as the new cardiothoracic surgeon. What a name right? Teddy. Next week, Cristina not only questions Dr. Teddy's abilities in the OR, she also explores the nature of her past relationship with Owen.
Last week on Grey's Anatomy, we dealt with the mother of all tumors, with Team Derek, who wanted to operate, going against Team Chief, who didn't want to touch it with a ten-foot pole. Unfortunately, everyone in the hospital belonged to Team Derek, and the Chief sounded like a crybaby who just wanted attention.
