It's Official - Scrubs to End This Season - Featured

After months of rumors that Scrubs might in fact continue on ABC after this season - but sans series star Zach Braff and creator Bill Lawrence - these rumors have been officially put to rest. Lawrence confirmed this news last night.

You are currently watching the final season of Scrubs! 12 new episodes remain.

I for one think that this is the right decision. While I have loved Scrubs from Day 1 - Braff is the heart of the show; without him, I can only imagine that it would have seemed empty - even if a new cast of the funniest-ever interns were added.

What do you think? Would you have kept on watching...or are you happy that Scrubs will receive the graceful ending that it has always deserved (that NBC nearly took away) with its original cast?

I always prefer a got end! so that's good news - well, kinda...Still I will miss this show! I can't remember any epi that didn't make me laugh. 12 to go, I will enjoy every single one of them just as much as the whole series!

I love scrubs. Have done for years, but i really want more than just 12 episodes, i'd love another season. It's not getting old and i don't think it should finish yet, it still seems so fresh.
I will also, cherish these last 12.

It will be a good ending to the show if he is still there. It wouldn't be the same if they continued without him.

I'm happy that they're ending the show. Nothing against Scrubs, but I believe that it has told all the stories that it needs to, and really, about all it can. Perhaps after Scrubs is over Bill Lawrence can create something new and possibly better, and I'm looking forward to that. Honestly, I wish more long-running shows would just end already so that the creators could focus on a fresh canvas on finish a good series before it grows stale.

I think they're making the right decision to end after this season. Scrubs has always been my favourite show as far back as I can remember but I think that episodes in the last season were a lot weaker than the first six. The show has run its course and given such great tv moments that it would be a shame not to give it the big finale it deserves.

really happy it gets to end with the original cast. i would have given the new scrubs a chance but i know with out Zack, Donald,Sarah,Judy,John,Neil and Ken the show just wouldnt have been the same. Definaltly the right choice.

as long as they don't have some huge cliff hanger for an ending i well be happy with this, as i said before I am far more interested in Braff's future directing career then new episodes of "Scrubs". don't get me wrong though this show has been one of my favorite series since it came out.

I wouldn't have liked a Scrubs sans JD, plus it's always better to go out on a high note. I think this was the right choice.

i think that the worst thing a comedy can do is try to keep going after its prime and even with zack braff i think that the jokes would start getting stale and it would ruin what so far has been a really awesome runit was the same with that 70's show if they had kept that going much longer the 70's trivia and music references would have started to annoy peopleand it would be a shame to ruin a classic like scrubs

I think they are making the right decision to. But I think even without Braff the show could still go on. I mean it is not like Braff is all of the show. You could do episodes following everybody turk, carla, cox, Elliot and then some with the interns. I think it would be a way to keep going and not lose anything from what scrubs is.It is a chance they should be willing to take for all the true scrubs fans out there if you don't like the new stuff don't watch it. You probably have all the seasons on dvd just like me. It is kinda the same as saved by the bell they took it into college and it worked for them and then they brought out the new class which still worked. Sometimes you have to go against the grain.

I think its the right decision to end after this series. not because i want scrubs to finish, cos i'm a massive scrubs fan and wish it could carry on forever, but because scrubs would never be the same without Zach. He brings the humour that makes you laugh out loud for ages. Yes you have the characters like cox and kelso who bring out laughs but with the character j.d you get the humour that makes you feel like a child again. silly humour that you just cant associate with any other character. I will miss scrubs a lot. Cant wait now to see how it all ends. you never know, maybe a repeat of "my musical" could happen. loved that episode.

Im glad Scrubs is ending this season. Even if Zach Braff was coming back its the right to end it. I love scrubs, and ive watched it since the beginning, but I hate it when shows dont end on a high note. Fans got lucky with the switch to ABC and one more season, but all good things must come to an end.

Glad it's ending, the recent two episodes (My Absence and My Comedy Show) sort of sucked. A shame since the two episodes before them (My Lawyers in love and My New Role) were very satisfying. You can't carry this show on, I mean, why would you? I still get kicks out of rewatching it.

Being a true Scrubs fan, I totally agree with most of the people here. If Scrubs were to end, they should keep our favorite main characters that started with us and now end with us. Also, ever since I started watching the show, I always dreamed of Elliot and JD getting married. Turk and Carla, Jordan and Dr.Cox, and now even Janitor and Lady... They should have the last episode of Scrubs end with a bang, but not too big that they can't re open the show if they decided to come back for a nineth season. But my plan is that JD proposes to Elliot, and that he has a fantasy that goes into the future... Of them getting married, having kids, growing old, and then they end the fantasy (And series) with a kiss.
