Episode 2 of "Pretty Little Liars" sealed it as one of our must-watch summer shows. The forbidden romance was off the charts -- Spencer (Troian Avery Bellisario) hooked up with her sister's boyfriend (again), Aria (Lucy Hale) got all hot-for-teacher after a rainstorm, and Emily's (Shay Mitchell) slumber party with Maya (Bianca Lawson) involved some spooning.
But our number one question still concerns the mysterious "A," who is so intriguing we can almost forgive the obnoxious product placement every time she sends a text. The last moments of the episode suggested that Jenna (Tammin Sursok) might be the one sending the creepy cryptic notes.
Of course, Jenna has plenty of reason to want to make the girls' lives miserable. Alison is responsible for Jenna's blindness - she threw a stink bomb into Jenna's garage, claiming that she was getting revenge on Jenna's brother for spying on her. A fire broke out, and even though Jenna's brother saved her, it was too late for her eyes.
If it is Jenna, she's not working alone. She was sitting at the lunch table when the girls were "paged" about their guilty looks. We rewound to check -- both her hands were folded on the table. Unless she was texting with her toes, she's not guilty... at least not of being the text message menace. She still could have killed Alison, who died from suffocation after blunt force trauma to the head.
We're loving the music in the episode, too, especially "Fresh Pair of Eyes" by Brooke Waggoner, which played during Aria and Mr. Fitz' rainy make-out sesh. And props to Bianca Lawson, who played a 16-year-old on "Dawson's Creek" 10 years ago, and is still at it.
