I was fortunate enough to get an early look of the first episode of Season 5 of The Closer "Products of Discovery".
In this episode, Brenda is investigating a quadruple murder while dealing with Provenza being in a pissy mood.
If I am to be honest, there is really not much to say about this episode aside from the fact that it was good but not great. Granted, a good "The Closer" episode is better than the grand majority of the shows on TV. But still as season premieres go, this one was a little blah for me.
The investigation in itself was alright but the characters in the story were much more compelling. Overall, it is a good episode worth watching.
Note: Kudos to the actor who plays the father of the victims. He has very emotional scenes that he delivers wonderfully. I know I have seen him in other shows but I can't remember where. I looked everywhere for his name but I can't find it. If anyone can help me with that, I would greatly appreciate it
Don't forget to watch The Closer when it returns Monday, June 8 at 9/8 on TNT. And of course, once you've seen it, come back to share your thoughts.
